Changing the engine oil on a Mercedes B-Class? Here’s how to do it. Lift the car on a column lift or jack, unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket wrench (remove the plastic protective panel if necessary), let the fluid drain into a disposal container, and re-screw the sump bolt. After draining the oil from the engine, lower the car and open the bonnet, securing it. Unscrew the filter located in the engine compartment with a socket wrench. Refill the engine with new oil. Measure the oil level multiple times with the metal dipstick until it reaches the ideal level. Close the bonnet.
