Fuel Pump Replacement for Class A

Model: Mercedes Classe A W176 - Years 2012-2018

To replace the fuel pump on a Class A, raise the vehicle completely on a shop lift since the pump is located at the bottom of the chassis, accessible only from the outside. Use a 8 mm socket wrench to remove the only bolt related to the plastic bracket to which the pump is attached. Then detach the bracket from the chassis and prepare a container to collect the gasoline. Use a 7 mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp that secures the inlet hose and detach the hose with a flat screwdriver. A small amount of gasoline will spill out. Extract the pump from its housing and let the remaining fuel drain into the container. Remove the other two rear hoses. Install the new pump by reversing the procedure.
