Removing the external handle from a door of the Mercedes Vito is a quick and simple task. After opening the relevant door, remove the round black cover screw using a plastic lever or flat screwdriver. Unscrew the accessible T20 Torx screw while holding the handle with your other hand. At this point, the lock mechanism will come out of the door, and you can disconnect its connector. Pull the handle, which will easily come out of its housing, and then reverse the process for reassembly. This is a job that anyone can do.
