Before proceeding with the automatic transmission fluid replacement, ensure you have the appropriate ATF fluid, the filter cartridge, and the pan gasket. Lift the vehicle on a lift or on suitable jack stands; remove the drain plug and collect the used fluid in a container; then remove the pan retaining bolts and pull out the filter cartridge (just pull it down). Clean the pan thoroughly, removing any metal debris that may have collected on the magnet. The video shows the transmission draining by starting the engine and shifting through the gears while leaving the transmission pan removed: be cautious with this operation as it could damage the transmission; if necessary, the flushing should be done with the appropriate equipment that injects new fluid while sucking out the old, keeping the gears lubricated. Then install the new filter cartridge, the new gasket on the pan, and secure it by tightening the retaining bolts. Fill the transmission with new fluid, start the engine, and cycle through all the gear positions. Finally, check the fluid level using the appropriate dipstick.
