Transmission Oil Replacement and Complete Maintenance

If you experience shifting problems in the automatic transmission, you need to flush and replace the oil in the transmission. Lift the vehicle on a lift. Unscrew the oil plug located on the oil pan and let it drain into a suitable container. Add the flushing additive and use the appropriate equipment to perform a thorough complete flush, then let it drain. After flushing, remove the oil pan where you may notice metallic residues on the magnets. Replace the pan with a new one that also contains the filter. Refill the transmission with the correct amount of the specified oil. Check the engine oil level and take the vehicle for a test drive to see if the automatic transmission issues have been resolved.
