Replacing the Poly V Belt on a Mercedes E-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Today, replace the Poly V belt, a longitudinally ribbed drive belt with high resistance to friction. Open the hood. Remove the bolts securing the black and white covers of the engine and transmission compartments. Using a T55 Torx wrench, slightly pull the pulley of the belt tensioner, then remove the belt. Install the new timing belt carefully, as this is the most complex part: Ensure it wraps completely around the transmission and all the pulleys, just as the old belt was mounted. Once done, return the pulley of the tensioner to its original position.
