How to Remove the Ignition Switch from the Mercedes E-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe E W212 - Years 2009-2016

In this guide, discover how to remove and replace the ignition switch or cylinder in the Mercedes E-Class. First, open the hood and disconnect the battery; then, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the steering wheel airbag, detaching it from the back and disconnecting the electrical connector. Next, unscrew the center screw of the steering wheel to remove it; then unscrew the retaining ring of the ignition switch and remove the steering angle sensor; finally, push the cylinder to remove and replace it!
