Resetting the Service Light

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

You can manually reset the SERVICE message light. It is recommended to first carry out regular maintenance, such as replacing the engine oil and the corresponding filter, before proceeding with the reset of the light. This reset is done using the trip reset button. Press and hold the trip reset button and turn on the ignition: the service light will appear and after a single flash, it will disappear; then turn off the ignition and check that the light remains off upon the next ignition.
