Service Light Reset Instructions

To reset the SERVICE light on the instrument cluster, you need a diagnostic tool, even an aftermarket one. After performing regular maintenance by replacing the oil and filter, connect the diagnostic tool to the OBD port, select the make, model, and engine type of the vehicle, and enter the SERVICE section where you can reset the light and reprogram the mileage for the next service. Depending on the engine conditions (mileage and any oil consumption) and the quality of the oil used for maintenance, decide whether to set a shorter or longer interval.
