Windshield Replacement for Your Car

It often happens, for various reasons, that you need to replace the windshield of your car. This is a task you can accomplish on your own with a bit of determination.
Once you have found the right model for your windshield, you can proceed with the replacement. Start by removing the wiper blades and wiper arm assemblies using a wrench, removing any adhesive residue if present. Next, remove the old seal by pulling it outward while keeping the glass steady. Take the new seal and insert it onto the new glass. Then, thread the cord through the empty groove of the seal, ensuring the two ends cross at the bottom half of the seal and the glass. Get inside the car and hold the two ends of the cord crossed and taut, bringing the cord inside the vehicle. Position the glass and pull one end of the cord, then the other, inward to properly seat the seal in place. Finally, reattach the wiper blades and wiper arm assemblies.
