Fender Painting Repair

If you need to repaint any body element, the quality of preparation is absolutely essential: first, straighten any dents to minimize the amount of filler needed (after straightening, it may be necessary to perform heat shrinking to reinforce the metal that has been stressed from hammering); then, sand the filler to perfectly restore the profiles; apply primer and after it has fully dried, wet sand to make the surface perfectly smooth; thoroughly clean the surface with solvent or silicone remover and proceed with painting, applying multiple consecutive coats until full coverage is achieved: do not expect to get a finished result on the first pass; finally, apply the clear coat and let it dry.
