Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

One of the first symptoms of a malfunctioning camshaft position sensor is the failure to start the engine, especially when the engine is warm. To replace the camshaft position sensor, first remove the plastic cover on the engine; once you locate the sensor, disconnect the connector and remove the mounting bolts; pull the old sensor out of its housing, insert the new one aligning the holes for the mounting bolts and tighten them securely; then reconnect the connector and ensure that the engine starts properly.
