The evolution of the distributor is the electronic distributor, where to determine the position of the crankshaft instead of using the pins, an electronic contact is used, which instead of discharging the primary of the coil, controls a transistor or a small electronic switch that in turn it discharges the primary coil: in this way the scintillation is eliminated and a faster commutation is obtained, with the formation of more energetic sparks on the spark plugs. The replacement of this component is very simple to carry out, in fact it is enough to remove the cover from above the engine, intercept the electronic distributor with the spark plug cables and unscrew the relative fixing screws to eliminate the old and install the new one.
