Engine Air Filter Replacement

Model: Mercedes Sl MK 5, R129 - Years 1989-2001

The vehicle has two engine air filters, one for each bank, located inside the plastic cover directly above the engine. Open the hood and remove the front part of the plastic cover on the engine, which has a grille shape. Then, disconnect the intake ducts from the filter box and pull it forward to remove it from its position. Next, turn the filter box upside down and unclip the bayonet fasteners to remove the cover and access the filters for replacement with new ones.
