Steering Tie Rod End Replacement

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004

To replace the ball joint of the tie rod end, lift the vehicle on a lift and remove the front wheel; then loosen the lock nut that secures the tie rod to the steering box's axial joint and remove the tie rod end from the hub support using a suitable puller; unscrew the tie rod end from the axial joint, counting the number of turns, and screw in the new one with the same number; then secure the ball joint to the hub support and tighten the lock nut; it is recommended to check the wheel alignment after installation.
