- Years 1997-2004 In order to replace the spherical head of the steering rod, the car must be raised on a lift and the front wheel removed; then loosen the counter nut that fixes the tie rod to the axial joint of the steering box and remove the tie rod head from the hub support using the appropriate extractor; then unscrew the head from the axial joint by counting the number of turns and screw the new one of the same number; then fix the ball head to the hub support and tighten the counter nut; at the end of the installation it is recommended to check the toe-in of the wheels.
