Replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor

One of the first symptoms of a malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor is the failure to start the engine, especially when hot: the sensor (which is magnetic) provides the engine management ECU with information regarding the position of the crankshaft and pistons (essentially the timing), and based on this, the ECU carries out the fuel injection sequences; it is clear that without this information, the engine cannot start; the sensor is located at the rear of the engine, and to replace it, you need to disconnect the relevant connector and unscrew the fixing bolt to then pull the sensor from its position and replace it with a new one.
