ABS Module Disassembly Instructions

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

If the ABS warning light illuminates on the instrument cluster and a fault memory check reveals an issue with the ABS module, you will need to proceed with disassembly. Once you open the hood, the module is located on the passenger side, just behind the coolant reservoir. To remove it, you must move the reservoir, disconnect the retaining clip from the connector attached to the module, remove the mounting nut for the support bracket, and then unscrew the screws around the perimeter of the module to extract it from its housing. Inside, you will find the solenoids that actuate the pump pistons.
