How to Replace the Front Stabilizer Bushings

Model: Mercedes Classe S MK 3, W140 - Years 1991-1998
Part: Bushings

Lift the vehicle on a lift to a comfortable working height. Remove the front tire. Turn the wheel outward. Using the appropriate wrenches, loosen the bolt that connects the stabilizer to the wheel. Locate the bushing to be replaced and remove the two bolts that hold the plate in place. Once freed, slide it along the stabilizer until it comes off. Take the new bushing, insert it into the stabilizer, and slide it into its housing. Repeat the same steps in reverse to secure the bushing and reassemble the removed parts. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Mercedes S-Class.
