Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W204 - Years 2007-2013
Part: Arm
Operation: How to replace the upper arm of the rear suspension.

Place the car on the deck and raise it to a comfortable height for working on it. Disassemble and extract the wheel corresponding to the suspension concerned. Remove the lower plastic guard facing the wheel. Identify the arm to be replaced and proceed to unscrew the bolts that secure it in place. To unscrew the bolt that fixes the arm in the upper part, it is necessary to lift the wheel with a hydraulic jack to remove tension from the suspension and unscrew the bolt that fixes the suspension itself below. Now disassemble the opposite rear wheel and remove the corresponding bottom protection. Also from this side unscrew the bolt that fixes the suspension at the bottom. At this point we can unscrew the last bolt that holds the arm in place. Remove the arm and replace it with the new one. Repeat all the above operations following the opposite procedure. The maintenance operation that is performed in the images is carried out on a Mercedes C-Class.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
