Replacing Front Suspension Control Arm

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

The front suspension control arm consists of a ball joint connected to the wheel hub support and a silent block bushing that attaches directly to the engine cradle: both components are subject to wear, resulting in play and noise. To replace the control arm, lift the vehicle on appropriate jack stands, remove the front wheel, loosen the nut securing the ball joint to the hub, and pull it out of its seat (tapping it with a hammer if necessary); then remove the plastic cover to access the bolt securing the silent block bushing and remove it. Next, extract the old control arm and insert the new one, securing it by reversing the steps.
