To reset the automatic transmission in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, turn on the ignition by inserting the key into the ignition switch. Once the dashboard lights up, press the accelerator pedal for about twenty seconds. After this time, you can release the accelerator pedal and turn off the ignition. When you turn it back on, you will find that the automatic transmission has been reset to its default settings.
