In this video, see how to remove the starter motor from a Mercedes C-Class. First, always disconnect the battery, at least the negative terminal. Next, remove the air connector to create space for working, along with the filters located above the main control unit, such as the engine air filter. Once you reach this area, there are electrical connectors to remove, and then you need to take out the DPF, which is a challenging task. However, our YouTuber does not describe it in detail, just briefly. Remove one clamp, and from under the vehicle, take out two or three screws to remove the DPF, being careful not to damage the exhaust sensors. You can then remove the plate connected to the DPF. This allows you to see the starter motor, which, as if it weren't difficult enough, is not easy to remove at all. It is held by two bolts that must be removed after disconnecting the electrical wires.
