If one of the headlight bulbs on the Mercedes Sprinter needs changing, here’s how to proceed. Open the bonnet and position yourself in front of the headlight of the bulb to be changed.

Inside the headlight, you will find rubber caps protecting the bulb, which you will need to remove. The cover closest to the radiator is for the main beam; once the cover is removed, disconnect the connector and twist the bulb to remove it. Insert the new bulb, twist it to lock it in place, and reconnect the connector and the cover.

For the dipped beam bulb, the procedure is similar, except that to remove the bulb, use needle-nose pliers and pull firmly on one of the pins, and to insert it, push until you hear a click. When handling new bulbs, remember not to touch the glass with bare fingers.
