How to Replace the Dashboard of the Mercedes A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Dashboard

First, disconnect the battery terminals to protect all electronic devices. Then, while seated in the driver's position, pull towards you the plastic panel at the base of the steering column. This will give you access to the screws that secure the center display of the dashboard. Remove these screws to take off the upper part that shields the display from sunlight. Next, remove the screws located at the bottom to pull out the entire speedometer display. Disconnect the plugs at the back, and you're done!
