In this video we see what that little rectangle under the headlights of older Mercedes cars is for. It simply looks like an engraving on the bodywork, as if it were a preparation for something. In fact, this "engraving" does not correspond to any button on the instrument panel, or at least nothing that can be associated with it. Instead, that little square has a function: it is the front headlight washer. And it has a rather convoluted way of being operated: in fact, to make it work we have to push the windshield wiper lever ten times, as our youtuber shows us. In the end, a powerful jet of water and soap will hit the front headlights (although it is not clear with what these headlights will then be cleaned of all this soap).
