In this video, discover what that small rectangle is located under the headlights of older Mercedes models. It looks like just an engraving on the bodywork, as if it were a provision for something.

In fact, this "engraving" does not correspond to any button on the dashboard, or at least nothing that can be associated with it. Instead, that small square has a function: it is the front headlight washer. It has a rather convoluted way of being operated: to make it work, you need to push the windscreen wiper lever ten times, as shown by the YouTuber.

In the end, a powerful jet of water and soap will hit the front headlights (although it is unclear how these headlights will then be cleaned of all that soap).
