Locating the VIN and engine number on a Mercedes Sprinter

In this video, you will see where to find the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and the engine identification number on a Mercedes Sprinter W906 version. The VIN is a 17-digit chassis number located at the rear of the bodywork, inside the engine compartment, right where the bonnet bends, beneath the front windscreen: it always starts with W1V. The engine number can be found on the engine block, in a rather hidden spot within the compartment.

Remember that these two numbers can also be found on the vehicle registration document: the chassis number is in section 2 at letter E), while the engine code is also in section 2 at letter P.5).
