In this video we can see where to find the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and the engine identification number of a Mercedes Sprinter W906 version: in the first case it is about finding the chassis number in full, composed of 17 digits, and we find it in the final part of the bodywork, which is located inside the engine compartment, right at the point where the hood bends, under the front windshield trim: it is a number that always starts with W1V. Instead, we find the engine number in the engine block, in a rather hidden point of the compartment. We remind you that we can also find these two numbers on the registration document: as for the chassis number, it is found in section 2 under letter E), while the engine code is always found in section 2 but under letter P.5).
