Opening the trunk of the Mercedes A-Class model W169 is possible, and you will need only one tool: a flathead screwdriver. To perform this emergency forced opening, get inside the vehicle and recline the rear seats to access the trunk.

Remove the lock cover with the screwdriver and fiddle with the internal lever, pushing it to the left until it unlocks. Once you unlock the latch, the trunk will open.

The only downside to this emergency forced opening is that you will need to replace the lock afterward.
