How to Replace the Climate Control Bulb in a Mercedes A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004

If the climate control buttons do not light up when the headlights are turned on, the backlight bulb is likely damaged. It is a glass incandescent bulb with a T5 base. To replace it, first remove the climate control knob: grip it, possibly using pliers while protecting the knob with a cloth, and pull it outward. Once the knob is removed, the backlight bulb is immediately visible. Use tweezers to extract it and then insert the new one. Test the functionality before reassembling the knob.
