What is illustrated in this video is a clever trick for MG ZS owners who "suffer" from the start & stop feature. The video suggests manually activating the rear window defrost every time the car is started. This is a high electrical consumption device, which prevents the start & stop system from functioning simultaneously with this feature. It’s a clever, non-invasive, reversible trick that is useful in winter. However, we have to do this every time we start the car (just like manually deactivating the system), which generates additional electrical consumption that, in summer and with a clean rear window, is just a waste of fuel and causes premature battery wear! If we take a long trip, the defroster will automatically turn off after a certain period.
