The MG 5 is equipped with an onboard computer within the instrument cluster, where the message appears along with the corresponding light, informing the driver that the service is due. Therefore, the engine oil and oil filter must be replaced, along with any other scheduled maintenance as outlined in the vehicle's manual. After completing the work, reset the service light by turning on the instrument cluster, navigating to Settings using the steering wheel buttons, and confirming the reset procedure by pressing the Ok button to clear the warning and store the next mileage due.
