How to change the dashboard of the Mini R50

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Instrument cluster

In this video we can see how to change the dial of the Mini R50 tachometer: disassembling the instrumentation is not difficult, even though the youtuber does not show us how, but tells us to lever with a spatula and then simply pull up, and then remove the needle. We can choose to replace the dial, but if we choose to use an original accessory, we can spend a lot of money. We recommend a more economical alternative: stickers that we can find on AliExpress, and we can choose from various designs and colors. At code 1005006332533677 at the price of 14.39 euros + 2.42 euros for shipping. Once the piece is replaced, or the sticker is installed, comes the difficult part: repositioning the needle. We can take the opportunity to clean the polycarbonate covering the tachometer well and then put everything back in place.

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille.
