Disassembly of the Mini Cooper steering wheel

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Steering wheel

Today's instructions will show us how to disassemble and remove the steering wheel and its airbag from the Mini Cooper. First, we get into the car and start by removing the airbag, releasing the rear clips (inserting a pointed screwdriver into the rear holes); then we disconnect the electrical connector of the airbag, as shown in the video. At this point, we unscrew the central bolt of the steering wheel, using a socket wrench with an extension; we then remove the steering wheel, replacing it if necessary with a new one, perfectly reassembling it in position and finally installing the airbag.
