Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Engine oil

How to replace the engine oil and filter on a Mini? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the worn oil filter and fit a new one (after draining the engine oil). Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the bolt from the oil sump; let the fluid drain into a container. Finally, top up with new fluid and close the front bonnet.
