Engine Air Filter Replacement with Sports Model

Model: Mini Mini R53, R50, R52 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Air filter

The sports filter kit includes, in addition to the filter, also support brackets: therefore, attach the filter to the support bracket by tightening the fixing clamp. Place the seals on the edge of the bracket. Next, proceed to remove the original filter: open the front bonnet and disconnect the rubber hose from the original filter box; detach the positive bypass clamp attached to the filter box and remove the cover and the filter itself; also disconnect the hard plastic connector and the connectors of the engine management ECU located right next to the filter. Complete the disassembly of the filter container by removing the fixing rubber grommets and the respective bolts, as well as the rear support bracket. Then insert the new rear bracket that has the same external geometry as the original but with a hole in the centre for fixing the new filter. Reposition the original filter container with the engine ECU, reconnect the respective connectors, and finally insert the support with the new filter, reattaching the positive bypass, the plastic connector, and the rubber hose.

How to Replace the Battery on a Volkswagen Polo

When your vehicle won't start and makes noises similar to electrical contacts, the cause is likely the battery. Release the bonnet using the appropriate lever and lift it to secure it with the prop rod. First, check the condition of your battery, then disconnect the terminals, starting with the negative one. Next, unclip the brackets securing the battery on both sides, then unscrew the bolts on the sides of the battery base to remove the brackets holding it in place. Install the new battery, and you're done!
