How to disassemble the steering wheel in the Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Steering wheel

As we can see in this tutorial, removing the steering wheel on a Mini Cooper is an extremely simple and fast operation. Before doing this, we disconnect the negative pole of the battery so as to operate in complete safety. Let's start by identifying the hole located on the lower part of the steering column, then insert a screwdriver inside, release the clip and release the airbag. We then disconnect the connector, unscrew the central bolt with a 16mm socket wrench and separate the steering wheel from the column. To fit any spare part, simply follow the reverse procedure.

How to Replace the Reverse Light Switch on a Suzuki Jimny

If the reverse light in the rear lamps does not illuminate when engaging reverse and the bulbs are functioning, the switch, also known as the bulb due to its shape, may be damaged. This switch is located on the gearbox; there is enough space to manoeuvre in the engine bay. Start by disconnecting the connector found on the left side of the engine bay when viewed from the front, near the cabin radiator hoses. Then, move symmetrically to the other side of the gearbox where the bulb is located. Take care with the O-ring seal during installation.
