In this video, we see how to enter and start your Mini even if the key is not working, perhaps because the remote control battery has run out. To overcome this emergency, we follow these simple rules: inside the remote control, there is a physical key that we can use in the driver's door, which has a real lock underneath the cover where we can insert it. By using the key itself, we can remove the lock cover and enter the car. We remove the key before opening the door, and if there is an alarm, it will sound once the door is opened. We keep the key on the steering column and press the start button to deactivate the alarm and start the car.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system.
