How do you maintain your Mini? This video explains how to remove the battery. Open the car door and pull up the lever to open the engine compartment located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet by releasing the catch with your fingers. Once the engine compartment is open, you will find a plastic cover at the top left where the battery is located. Remove the plastic cover and check the integrity of the battery and whether the terminals are securely fastened. Close the battery compartment and shut the engine bonnet.
