This video shows how to remove the fuel tank filter on a Mitsubishi Pajero. Lift the boot lid and secure it, then remove the lower panel inside. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolts securing the metal cap, remove it from its seat, and use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any liquid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and extract the filter from the tank. Finally, refit the new part into the tank along with all the previously removed components.
