How to Replace the Key Battery on a Mitsubishi Outlander?

To replace the key battery on a Mitsubishi Outlander, start by finding the small release button on the back of the key. Press this button to detach and remove the emergency metal key. With the metal key removed, you will see a slot in the key body. Use a small flat screwdriver or a plastic tool to gently pry open the key shell.

Once the shell is open, locate the battery, usually a CR2032 button battery. Note the orientation of the battery before removing it. Remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the positive (+) side is oriented correctly.

Reassemble the key shell, making sure all pieces fit together perfectly. Finally, reinsert the emergency metal key into its housing.

Your key should now work correctly with the new battery.
