A common fault with the Nissan Cabstar and Atelon is that the mileage on the display disappears at some point, and only the word "oil" appears. Another common issue with these vehicles is that the mileage numbers only partially appear, making them unreadable.

In this case, it is necessary to remove the instrument cluster and check the electronic connections of the speedometer. Almost certainly, there is a connection on the circuit board that has come loose and needs to be carefully checked and resoldered with appropriate tools and a bit of skill.

Once all connections have been checked and necessary repairs made, refit the speedometer, which will now function perfectly.
