The PCV (Positive crankcase ventilation) valve represents one of the first attempts to reduce the emissions of unburned hydrocarbons: in fact, it allows a part of the exhaust gases to be sent into the intake manifold to re-enter the combustion chamber as part of a fresh charge of air and fuel; this involves at the same time a depressurization of the crankcase which improves lubrication. Therefore, open the front bonnet and intercept the PCV valve: it is located in the rear right part (looking at the engine from the front) and looks like a bulb. Then release the fastening clamp of the pipe connected to it and remove the pipe itself. Then disassemble the valve with a 19 mm wrench and replace it with the new one, tightening it properly; finally insert the tube and the relative fixing clamp.
