Replacing the key battery is very easy; you only need a small flat screwdriver and you're done, as demonstrated in the video above. First, extract the emergency key from the remote shell, then leverage the screwdriver in the joint between the two faces of the remote to fully open it. There’s not much more to do other than, with the same screwdriver, push on the battery to remove it from its seat.

Once done, take the new battery and insert it, test its functionality, and close everything up.
