You will perform this replacement without removing the antenna base, just the antenna itself; so unscrew the old antenna and remove it, as shown in the video.

At this point, connect the electrical connector of the new fin antenna using a supplied screw; then secure the fin antenna with adhesive tape and check the radio's functionality!
