How to Change the Remote Battery of My Nissan Leaf

If the remote for your Nissan Leaf stops working suddenly and has not been subjected to any particular impacts, it is most likely just a flat battery. To replace the battery, you can certainly go to an authorised centre or a hardware store where they will replace it in a few minutes. However, with a bit of patience and a screwdriver, you can also do it yourself to save some money. You will simply need a screwdriver, a new battery, and a bit of patience. First, remove the key, then as you can see in the video, gently lever with the screwdriver to open the remote in two. At this point, one half will have the circuit board, and the other half will have the battery. Just replace it and reassemble everything.
