Nissan Leaf - Video tutorial
Model: Nissan Leaf
MK 1
- Years 2010-2017 If your Nissan Leaf's remote control stops working overnight, and hasn't taken any particular beats, most likely it's just a dead battery. To replace the battery you can certainly go to an authorized center or even a hardware store where they will replace it in a few minutes. However, with a little patience and a screwdriver you can also replace it independently so as to save some money. As mentioned, all you need is a screwdriver, a new battery and a little patience. First you will have to remove the key, then as you can see in the video, prying with the screwdriver gently open the remote control in two. At this point on one side you will have one half of the remote control with the card, and on the other side the other half with the battery. You just have to replace it and reassemble everything.
