How to Change the Key Battery on a Nissan Leaf

Model: Nissan Leaf ZE0, MK 1 - Years 2010-2017

To replace the remote key battery on this vehicle, follow these instructions. On the back of the remote, there is a small latch that needs to be opened to release the emergency key. Then, use a screwdriver to pry and detach the cover from the key itself. Remove the cover to access the battery compartment and use the screwdriver to extract the battery. Take the new battery and place it in the compartment, then close the remote cover and reinsert the emergency key.
