Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014
Part: Gear oil
Operation: How to replace gearbox oil on Nissan Qashqai

In this video tutorial we can see how to replace the gearbox oil on Nissan Qashqai. The oil change is generally carried out between 90,000 and 100,000 km. Check the use and maintenance booklet to verify the type of oil for the change. In the gearbox there are about 2 liters of oil (SAE 75W-80), BARDAHL oil for manual gearboxes, already contains the additive for a smoother and softer gearbox. We always do this job with a warm engine; Jack up the car with a hydraulic jack and put safety stands and a safety wheel underneath. Place a container for the used oil under the gearbox. The gearbox in this type of car is located under the battery. Remove the cover located underneath. The material needed: a 10mm wrench and a fixed screwdriver and an 8mm square insert to unscrew the drain plug. Unscrew the drain plug and wait for all the oil to flow into the basin, for a correct oil drainage, lower the car onto a level surface. Once all the oil has flowed out, screw the cap with the new gasket and insert the new oil with additive.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
