How to Change Gear Oil on a Nissan Qashqai

In this video tutorial, see how to change the gear oil on a Nissan Qashqai. The oil change is generally performed between 56,000 and 62,000 miles. Check the user manual to verify the type of oil for the gearbox. Approximately 2 litres of oil (SAE 75W-80) is required; BARDAHL oil for manual gearboxes already contains additives for smoother shifting. Always perform this task with the engine warm. Lift the vehicle with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands and a spare wheel underneath. Position a container for the used oil under the gearbox, which is located beneath the battery. Remove the cover located underneath. Required materials: a 10mm spanner, a flat screwdriver, and an 8mm square insert to unscrew the drain plug. Unscrew the drain plug and wait for all the oil to drain into the container; for proper oil drainage, lower the car to a level surface. Once all the oil has drained, screw in the plug with a new gasket and add the new oil with additive.
