Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014
Part: Clutch
Operation: How to remove the clutch of the diesel Nissan Qashqai 1.5

The guide shows how to perform the clutch replacement of the 2012 Nissan Qashqai 1.5 diesel engine. The first step is to lift the vehicle and remove the front wheels as well as the lower protective panel. Having identified the gearbox oil drain plug, proceed to empty the tank. At this point it is necessary to remove the right suspension arm to allow the right front axle shaft to come out correctly; the same operation must be performed on the left side. You can remove the bolts placed on the profile of the gearbox and the cables that reach the piece. The battery and its holder on the body must be removed. The gearbox fixing bolts must be removed and, with the aid of a jack, lower it downwards; in this operation it is possible to detach the gear control cable. The remaining gearbox retaining bolts on the engine can be unscrewed and the part to be repaired removed. The internal clutch components can now be accessed for replacement. To reassemble everything, just follow the reverse steps performed so far.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
