The external wing mirrors fold automatically when the lock button on the key fob is pressed. This is a very useful feature, as once the car is parked and locked with the fob, you can be sure to protect the mirrors from accidental bumps with passing vehicles, without needing to remember to fold them manually (during this manoeuvre, there is often a fear of breaking them). Similarly, once seated in the car, the mirrors unfold as soon as the ignition is turned on, making them ready for exiting the parking space.
