In this tutorial we can see how to replace the thermostat in the Opel Astra, a simple operation if you have good manual skills. First of all, we wait for the engine to be cold enough, then we open the hood and disconnect both the intercooler hose and the various hoses of the expansion tank. We continue by disconnecting the thermostat hoses and the temperature sensor connector, unscrewing the fixing bolts and separating the thermostat itself from the engine. At this point, all that remains is to position the replacement, reassemble everything and top up the lost coolant during the operation.
