This video shows how to change the number plate light on an Opel/Vauxhall Astra G: the small light unit is located on the right side of the number plate, while on the other side, you will find a second identical unit. Using a screwdriver or a plastic spatula that won't damage any surfaces, insert it into the hole next to the light unit, which is designed to leverage and release it from its housing.

Disconnect the electrical connector and replace the burnt-out bulb. The YouTuber rightly wears gloves, as the new bulb must not be touched with bare hands.

Reconnect the connector and refit the light unit. If you decide to replace the bulb with an LED, it is necessary to change both to ensure the same light colour from both light units.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?
